Hake is the star fish in children's diets due to its smooth texture and flavor. This recipe for baked fish with tomato sauce will be easy to digest for the little ones who are not yet used to fish.

From nine months it is recommended to include fish in the baby's diet (except if there is a history of family allergies, in that case it is recommended to wait until they are one year old).

  • 1 hake fillet
  • 1 potato
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oil, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley
  • Salt to taste)

Tips: Hake can be substituted for other white fish such as sole or rooster.

1. Preheat the oven to 180º. Bring water to boil in a saucepan with a pinch of salt

2. Peel the potato and cut in half. Boil for about 15 minutes. (depending on the size). Drain and cut into thin slices.

3. Brush a clay pot (or other oven-resistant material) with olive oil. Place the cooked potato on the bottom, forming a base.

4. Place the hake on top and sprinkle the tomato sauce and a tablespoon of olive oil on top. Finally, sprinkle a little chopped parsley on top.

5. Bake at 180º for about fifteen minutes. Before serving, shred the fish into small pieces to remove the bones. Mix with the chopped potatoes
