York ham is a food that children always like for its rich and smooth flavor. On the other hand, olives are one of the foods that provide many vitamins, fiber and minerals. With this recipe you will be able to accustom your children to the strong flavor of olives. They are sure to love it.

  • 200 gr of York ham
  • 150 gr of pitted green olives
  • 200 gr of wheat flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • 1 sachet of yeast
  • 100 gr of grated cheese (the one that the children like the most)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 glass of chicken or meat broth
  • Oil or butter to grease the mold

Tips: Instead of the broth you can put half a glass of white wine.

1- The first thing we will do is cut the ham into small cubes. Reserve them.

2- Chop the olives.

3- In a bowl, mix the flour and yeast. Then add the broth, the oil and mix everything very well again.

4- Then, add the eggs, one by one, mixing gently until a homogeneous mass is achieved.

5- Finally, add the pieces of ham, olives, grated cheese, and season according to the children's taste.

6- Preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Grease a mold with oil or butter.

7- Arrange the dough in the mold and take it to the oven at 180ºC for about half an hour. To know if the cake is ready, you can insert a toothpick into the dough. If it comes out dry it is because the cake is already set and ready to be removed from the oven.
