- 200 gr of York ham
- 150 gr of pitted green olives
- 200 gr of wheat flour
- 3 eggs
- 150 ml olive oil
- 1 sachet of yeast
- 100 gr of grated cheese (the one that the children like the most)
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 glass of chicken or meat broth
- Oil or butter to grease the mold
Tips: Instead of the broth you can put half a glass of white wine.
1- The first thing we will do is cut the ham into small cubes. Reserve them.
2- Chop the olives.
3- In a bowl, mix the flour and yeast. Then add the broth, the oil and mix everything very well again.
4- Then, add the eggs, one by one, mixing gently until a homogeneous mass is achieved.
5- Finally, add the pieces of ham, olives, grated cheese, and season according to the children's taste.
6- Preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Grease a mold with oil or butter.
7- Arrange the dough in the mold and take it to the oven at 180ºC for about half an hour. To know if the cake is ready, you can insert a toothpick into the dough. If it comes out dry it is because the cake is already set and ready to be removed from the oven.
